How do I create an account?
Download the Maple Exchange app from the App Store, tap 'Create Account', and follow the registration steps. You'll need a valid email address. To start trading, you'll also need to complete identity verification (KYC).
What documents are required for identity verification?
We require a government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport) and a short video verification. You'll also need to provide your full legal name, date of birth, address, and phone number.
How long does verification take?
Most verifications are processed within 24 hours. During high-volume periods, it may take up to 48 hours. You'll receive a notification in the app once your verification is complete.
How do I deposit Canadian dollars?
Maple Exchange uses Interac e-Transfer for all CAD transactions. When you buy cryptocurrency, you send an e-Transfer directly to the seller. When you sell, you receive an e-Transfer from the buyer.
How do I deposit cryptocurrency?
Go to your wallet, select the cryptocurrency you want to deposit, and tap 'Deposit'. You'll see a unique wallet address and QR code. Send your crypto to that address from any external wallet. Deposits are credited after the required number of blockchain confirmations.
How do I withdraw cryptocurrency?
Go to your wallet, select the cryptocurrency, tap 'Withdraw', enter the destination address and amount. Small withdrawals are processed automatically. Larger withdrawals may require administrative approval for security.
What are the trading fees?
Maple Exchange charges a small taker fee on each trade. The current fee rate is displayed when you place an order. There are no hidden fees or markups on the exchange rate.
What cryptocurrencies are supported?
We currently support Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), XRP, and Chainlink (LINK). All trading pairs are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Is my cryptocurrency safe?
We use industry-standard security practices including AES-256 encryption for wallet keys, biometric authentication (Face ID), and comprehensive monitoring. However, cryptocurrency is not insured by CDIC or any government agency. We recommend withdrawing large holdings to a personal hardware wallet.
What if I have a dispute with another trader?
If a trade dispute arises (for example, payment not received), either party can open a dispute through the app. Our team will review the evidence and make a resolution within 48 hours.
How do I delete my account?
Contact us at support@maplecx.app to request account deletion. Please note that we are required by Canadian law to retain certain records for a minimum of five years after account closure.
